Are you planning for next year already?!

I just uploaded my "Letter Land Alphabet Pack!" It is a 101 page MUST HAVE for Pre-K and Kinder teachers! It's a great review for Firsties too! I use this for the first 52 days of school. OK, well maybe not the first 52 days, but I start the second week of school.

The first round of the Letter Land Party! I introduce a new letter/sound each day. I have all of the kids' names written on a sentence strip. I always try to put the girls and boys on a different color. I place all of the names in a pocket chart. We then go through the names. Anyone that has the letter in their name, then they go to the top of the pocket chart. If they do not, then they go at the bottom. IF their name begins with that letter, then they are the King/Queen of the day.
If they have the letter of the day in their name, then they take their name tag back to their desk and either trace it, circle it, or put a sticker under the letter. We then place it back in the pocket chart.
The first round of our letter party is simply an introduction to the letters and the sounds. After we put the names back in the pocket chart, then we complete a page in our Alphabet Book.

Here is what you get in the packet!!
These are the big poster sets. Only A-R are shown.

Small picture cards and letter cards. You could use these for your word wall or in a station!!

There are two different Alphabet books AND an alphabet chart!!

If you have any questions...let me know!! I use these all year long. I am constantly referring back to them. I will be creating tons...oh, and I do mean TONS of things that coordinate with this packet!!

UPDATE!!!
I had a few requests to make this packet with polka dots. So I did!! :-) You can click on the picture to go directly to my TpT store.

Well, I decided to also give you a FREEBIE from this unit. The ABC chart. Click on the picture to get your copy!!

  2. wow, Wow, WOW! I so wish I would have had this last year while teaching K. I learned the hard way that first year that I should have introduced all of the letters right away from the start. Live and learn... I'll be pinning this and saving it for a later date. Thanks for sharing!

  11. This is really cute. Using their names makes the relationship between letters and words. What better word to use than their own name. Do you do this instead of doing a letter a week?

  13. Is there anyway to change the picture used for the letter Ee? Elephant is very confusing for K's since they hear L. Just a thought!! Love the packet though! :)
