CRACK! Response Sheet

I recently uploaded several sight word games to my TpT store. I decided to make a response sheet to go with them. You absolutely do not need this sheet to play the game, but adds a little bit of the accountability factor when they play. I have a game for: Dolch words Pre Primer, Primer, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Reading Street Kindergarten, and thanks to a sweet request from Amy...just added a set for McGraw-Hill Treasures Kindergarten words! If you a list of words that you would like to see, then email me! I am more than happy to create for you. You can get all of them at my TpT store.

Reading Street Game and a FREEBIE

I have one more day until my SPRING BREAK officially begins. I can not wait! The kids are ready too. We have had a very mild Winter here in Nebraska. We have not used any snow days...which in Nebraska is so unusual. However, this gal will take it!!

I have so many things that I want to get done next week...around the house, blogging, creating, sharing. I will be busy.

I decided to create my latest CRACK sight word game using the Scott Foresman Reading Street high frequency words. You can get that unit in my TpT store.
Click on the picture and it will take you to the unit in my TpT store

While I was at it...I went ahead and added a FREEBIE! It's the super fun "I Have....Who Has?" using the Scott Foresman Reading Street high frequency words.

CRACK! High Frequency Words Game!

Ok, ok, ok...did the title of the post grab your attention. I made some super cute high frequency words games! I used an adorable graphic of a chick coming out of an egg from
KPM Doodles. So, I named the game CRACK. I asked my good friend Crystal from
Kreative In Kinderif that sounded alright and she said YES! CRACK it is! :-)

I just uploaded them to my TpT store! I am thinking of creating a response sheet for each as a FREEBIE! If I do, then I will post them tomorrow. For the first 5 that comment on this post...leave your email address and which packet you would like and I will email it to you for FREE!!

I didn't create a 2nd Grade list, but would be willing if there was a request! Just give me a yell!! Happy Monday Peeps!!

Hello long lost bloggin' friends!

It has been awhile! I finally feel like I am sort of getting back to "normal"...if that is possible! :-) I want to thank all of you for your kind words, thoughts, and prayers. It has been a very difficult past few weeks. I know that my dear father-in-law is in a much better place now and no longer suffering. I will miss him forever and always.

I just finished 3rd quarter report cards AND we had our 2012-2013 Kindergarten Parent Night also. CRAZY BUSY! You all will be so jealous to hear that we already have 6 high ability learners....according to their parents that is (insert eye roll here). I swear, I get asked the silliest questions sometimes. I am so tempted to totally just be a smarty when asked crazy questions. "Mrs. Lee, do you challenge children if they already know something?" Nope, I don't believe in challenging anyone...at all...ever. Ok, I am done being sarcastic. I really do enjoy parent night. I love talking to parents. It's just those few cray-cray peeps that make me laugh.

Soooooo, I have been working on a few things. I have some Easter items posted to my TpT store. I will be finishing up Easter, Farm and begin working on Transportation and Dinosaurs. Anyone have any requests that they would like to see in the units on TpT? FREEBIES?

Here is an Easter Monster Spin N Graph FREEBIE for you!

St Patty's Day Math Station FREEBIE

Hello peeps! I am on a roll! :-)This will be a super short post, but I have something for you!  Here is another FREEBIE for you! I have been using these games in my Math Stations. My kids love them. I taught them how to play one time and now each month, when I add a game with new clip art and colors...IT'S NEW!! They get so excited! To play the game..students roll 2 dice. They make a 2 digit number from their roll. So, if they roll a 3 and a 4, they could make 34 or 43. Once they cover a number on their board, then that number is done. If they cover 34 and 43 (in separate rolls) and they roll a 4 and a 3 again, then they lose a turn because they can't make a new number.  The first one to fill up their board is the winner!

The clip art is from KPM Doodles!

Duck and Goose Packet

This is a guest post from Annie at Kindergarten At Heart.  I taught kindergarten with Tammy for five years.  We had the best time. :)  She has inspired me to blog.  Be sure to come visit my blog where I share ideas for all teachers that are kindergarten at heart.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Duck and Goose books by Tad Hill. The illustrations are adorable and the books lend themselves to many different learning activities for kids. For my first packet I had to start with my favorite books.  :)

This packet has activities for reading, writing, math and art. All the activities are based on the stories Duck and Goose and Duck, Duck, Goose by Tad Hill. It is an easy packet to print and use for a substitute teacher. Simply print the packet and fill it into your daily schedule.

You can access this Duck and Goose Reading, Writing, Math and Art packet by visiting my TPT store.
Along with the packet I am offering two more Duck and Goose FREEBIES right here.
The first FREEBIE is venn diagram I created to compare Duck and Goose. In order to download this FREE document simply click here.

This is also a fun idea to do with the story Duck and Goose. I drew the characters from the cover. Then I cut circles on a die cut machine. The students colored the polka dots on the circle with crayon. Then they finger painted over the circle with sweetened condensed milk. It made the balls look glossy. This is a really fun and easy activity.
Before

After

For younger kids you can even use circle stickers for the polka dots. We did this for kindergarten round-up one year and it worked great.

In this last Duck and Goose FREEBIE students will decorate their own ball. Then they will write about something they would like to do outside with their ball. To download this FREEBIE just click here.

To find my entire Duck and Goose Reading, Writing, Math and Art Packet visit my TPT store.  I hope you enjoy these books as much as I do.
